Since its establishment in 2006, Dire Dawa University has graduated more than 40,000 professionals making significant contributions across Ethiopia and around the world. In 2025, the Dire Dawa University Alumni Association was formally established in accordance with University legislation to strengthen lifelong connections between graduates and their alma mater — an official platform uniting alumni from all disciplines and graduating classes.
The Association serves as an official platform that brings together alumni from all disciplines and graduating classes, fostering a vibrant network of professionals dedicated to supporting one another and contributing to the continued advancement of the University.
Since its establishment, the Association has organized alumni events and networking initiatives that reconnect graduates, celebrate their achievements, and create opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and institutional support.
